beautiful words

Mar. 10th, 2010 | 07:38 pm

Every night as I leave Ethan's bedroom I say the words "Goodnight baby, mama loves you". Tonight for the first time Ethan replied "I love you" back to me! Its so overwhelming to finally hear him say that back to me :)

how long has it been?

Jan. 21st, 2010 | 09:46 am

I'm stuck in the house sick with one sick child and one child that is dying to go outside and play. Days like this I really appreciate my husband coming home and caring for us. He does such a good job with the kids and I when we are ill. I was counting the moments until he got home yesterday!

I really want to get out of here and get some fresh air!

Ethan is really starting to talk a lot these days! Today he's said "Like that" "Right mama" "ohh Mickey Mouse" "Want toast" "want juice" "all done" "Barbie doll" "please" "thank you" and the rest of the usual stuff. I'm glad we're getting that crazy pacifier away from him. I think it was really hindering his speach.

Hannah's missed pretty much the whole week at school. I miss her going to school in the afternoons and ethan napping. I'd love some alone time!

Our van's power steering is shot so we've decided to just get a new(used) car. The van had 250 000 KM's on it and I don't feel like putting any money into it. We're getting a Toyota Solara with 77,000 KM's. Its only a 2 door so I'm hoping it won't be too much of a challenge with the kids. Its not like I don't have to open the doors for them anyways so it should be too much of a pain. I'm looking forward to driving a car again, vans are not for me. I only drove one because it was free and even though there is a lot of space in there it just isn't my style. Ethans old enough that I don't really drag around a stroller with me anymore so the trunk should be big enough for groceries. If we need to transport anything big we do have a dodge ram that J drives so no biggie!

Ok - glad to have updated, I'm sure its been a long, long time since I last did!

Smart Cookie

Oct. 18th, 2009 | 02:18 pm

Hannah is 3 3/4 years old and is sooo smart! She can write "Mom, Dad, Pop, Grandpa, Grandma, Hannah and Ethan". She just learned Grandma & Grandpa today but has been writing/spelling out loud "Mom, Hannah and Ethan" for months now.

You should see her in ballet class too! She's in a 3-5 year old class and does better than most. I was talking with a few of the moms yesterday and they were shocked that she was only 3+, assuming she was already 5. She's so big and speaks so clearly that she seems much older.

Now that I've gone on and on about Hannah i'd better write something about the boy :)

Ethan is 16 months now and such a crazy guy! He loves to sweep and move furniture. He can say a lot of things like "Mom, Dad, Hannah, Boo-boo (what we call him most) No More, All Done, Bye-Bye, Hi, Juice, Teeth, Night, Bubbie (the name of his fav. toy), Spoon" and sooo much more. He's 28 pounds and wearing size 3+ shirts & size 2 pants. He loves to dance with his stuffed bear :)

Just thought I'd gush a little :)

If...

If I lived in St. Catharines I would so be dropping the kids off at my parents house and going out for some alone time!

They are driving me bananas!!!!

Sleep Deprived

Jul. 27th, 2009 | 12:34 pm

I feel completely wrecked today. Ethan was screaming so I brought him into bed with me. I hate sleeping with Ethan. The boy tosses and turns, kicks and punches and doesn't settle for literaly HOURS. He doesn't want to be cuddled but he would like to be touching me at all times. I LOVE sleeping with Hannah. She just sleeps in a spoon position and is super cuddly. Ethan is so different than Hannah, sometimes I can't believe they are even related!

make your comments under your breath...

Jun. 25th, 2009 | 03:49 pm

SOoooo, we went to Wal-Mart this morning, mostly to pick up Ethan's 1 year old pictures. We were walking through the household section and Hannah was carrying a big ass bag of M&Ms. I told her to put them back because she wasn't getting them. Right after I said this a Wal-Mart employee who was stocking shelves muttered to herself "put it back where you got it" in a nasty tonne. So I said to the employee "Why don't you put it back where she got it". Hannah gave her the bag and I gave her a nasty look and walked away. Bitch...

my little boy loves to snuggle..

Jun. 8th, 2009 | 11:51 am

I just had to switch out Ethan's big pink teddy bear (actually Hannah's) for his spiderman doll. He was getting attached to it and I just couldn't see dragging a big pink teddy bear around everywhere with my little man. Not that there is anything wrong with it!!! LMAO
